PROFILE
Guido was signed to the squad Sept. 1, 2020 on loan from LAFC. The midfielder became an impact player immediately. He helped spark an offense with his presence at midfield. He helped set up an assist in his first match with SD Loyal and went on to score two goals in a win against Orange County SC, just a few days after signing.
Guido grew up playing in local youth soccer leagues in the South Bay in South San Diego County and in Tijuana just across the border. He had trials and a short stint in Holland before signing with Club Tijuana of Liga MX. He played at different levels with the Xolos, eventually making his way onto the first team roster all the way from the Under-20 team.
He also has experience at the youth international, representing the United States at the U-17, U-18, U-20 and U-23 levels. He was a standout for the U.S. at the 2017 World Cup played in Mexico.
Guido has been certified by the Mexican federation to be a coach.
