Club donating proceeds from merchandise, ticket sales and footgolf fundraiser to longtime community partner for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
SAN DIEGO (Aug. 29, 2023) – In recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, San Diego Loyal SC announced today that all proceeds from three initiatives during the month of September will be donated to community partner Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego:
- All single match ticket sales for its upcoming home match on Sunday, September 3
- All merchandise sales on matchdays and online at theshop.sdloyal.com
- Every ticket purchased to the SD Loyal Footgolf Classic
Additionally, fans will continue to have the option to make a direct donation to Rady Children’s Hospital during checkout when purchasing SD Loyal tickets online through AXS.com for the remainder of the season.
When SD Loyal takes on Birmingham Legion FC on Sept. 3 (3 p.m.), the first 3,000 fans at Torero Stadium will receive a free SD Loyal Trading Card Set presented by Rady Children’s Hospital. Tickets to the match are available now on sdloyal.com/tickets.

At the forefront of childhood health care for more than 65 years, Rady Children’s Hospital celebrated its best-ever rankings in the Best Children’s Hospitals U.S. News & World Report in 2022-2023, including #2 in orthopedics. The world-renowned pediatric hospital has been a SD Loyal partner since the club’s first season in 2020, serving as a conduit to connect with the local soccer community.

The SD Loyal Footgolf Classic is set to take place on Saturday, September 16 at Mission Bay Golf Course. Fans interested in participating can register as an individual player or sign up their team of five. Tee off times will run from 8-9:30 a.m. Event registration opens on Friday, Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. via theshop.sdloyal.com. With limited spots available, fans are encouraged to book their spots at the opening of registration.
