All proceeds will directly benefit local LGBTQIA+ organization, on sale tomorrow at Torero Stadium
SAN DIEGO (Aug. 4, 2023) – Today, San Diego Loyal SC revealed its latest CHARLY Fútbol jersey for 2023, the “Pride & Joy” kit. Prominently featuring San Diego Pride below the back neckline, all proceeds from the limited-edition kit will be donated to the region’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering pride, equality, and respect for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities locally, nationally and globally.
SD Loyal’s fourth CHARLY Fútbol jersey this season, the Pride & Joy kit, will be available to purchase and make its on-field debut tomorrow, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. at Torero Stadium when the club takes on Orange County SC on Pride Night, presented by SDG&E. Tickets to the match, including a Pride Night Ticket & Hat package, are available now at sdloyal.com/tickets. The Pride & Joy kit will be available to purchase online pending availability at TheShop.SDLoyal.com on Monday, Aug. 7 at 10 a.m.
“All too frequently LGBTQIA+ people experience transphobia and homophobia in athletic spaces, which is why I’m so inspired that San Diego Pride’s partnership with San Diego Loyal goes beyond the field,” said San Diego Pride Executive Director Fernando Zweifach López Jr. “It represents unity, visibility and the affirmation that every LGBTQIA+ individual has a place in the world of sports. This Pride Night is more than a game, it’s a celebration of inclusion, resilience, love and our ongoing pursuit of equality.”
The limited-edition SD Loyal Pride & Joy kit features the 11 colors of the Progress Pride Flag representing the diversity and inclusivity of the LGBTQIA+ community. A topographical pattern of San Diego is featured throughout the front and back of the jersey, first seen in the 2022 SD Loyal Home kit.

SD Loyal and San Diego Pride’s commitment to advocating inclusivity and raising awareness for the LGBTQIA+ community will be on display for the entire month of August as the club will wear the kits during all four home matches at Torero Stadium.
