SAN DIEGO (May 5, 2022) – During San Diego Loyal’s 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Tampa Bay Rowdies Saturday, midfielder Nick Moon unleashed a rocket of a score, landing him on the podium of nominees for the USL Championship Week 8 Goal of the Week. Moon was joined by Prosper Kasim (Birmingham Legion FC), Lewis Hilton (Tampa Bay Rowdies), Diego Luna (El Paso Locomotive FC) and Remi Cabral (LA Galaxy II).
After voting polls closed Thursday, Moon was the majority winner taking home the award for the first time in his career.
The goal was Moon’s first of the season and first-ever for SD Loyal.
